ALLIED HEALTH

The Allied Health Associate's Degree in Gerontology is designed to prepare students for meaningful careers supporting the health, well-being, and independence of older adults. With populations living longer than ever before, professionals trained in gerontology are in high demand to meet the unique medical, social, and psychological needs of aging communities.

This program combines a strong foundation in allied health sciences with specialized knowledge of aging and elder care. Students will explore topics such as human development, health promotion, chronic disease management, long-term care, and ethical issues in elder services. Through classroom instruction, hands-on labs, and real-world practicum experiences, graduates will be equipped to work in hospitals, nursing homes, community health centers, rehabilitation facilities, and home-care settings.
